Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Students taking this course will have knowledge about the theoretical foundations of groups. Will be able to explain concepts such as team spirit, group climate, togetherness, sense of unity, sense of unity, sense of self, sense of being a group and sense of belonging in groups; will have knowledge about interpersonal interaction theories.
Course Content Basic concepts related to small groups such as group integrity and classification of groups, the effect of the small group on the individual, the effect of the individual on the group, group structure and process, sociological and social psychological reasons for examining small groups in explaining social behaviour are discussed. In addition, students are taught the methods and research techniques used in research on small groups with the Sociometric testing techniques course (4th year autumn).
