Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The application of important skills, information, and tools to fulfil a project’s aim is known as project management. Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring performance, and ending the project are the five primary processes of project management. Project management is becoming more important and in demand as the number of industries and global and national initiatives grow.
Course Content The course provides an in depth examination of project management principles and modern software project management practices. The five process groups and nine knowledge areas of the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMI BOK) are examined in the context of the systems development lifecycle. Methods for managing and optimizing the software development process are discussed along with techniques for performing each phase of the systems development lifecycle. Portfolio management and the use and application of software project management tools are also discussed.
