Purpose and Content

The aim of the course With this course, it is aimed tomake the students comprehend the formation methods of nonwoven surfaces, to have an idea about the production methods when they see a nonwoven product, to have the basic terminology of nonwoven technology, to gain the knowledge about the testing methods of nonwoven surfaces, tufting manufacturing, coating and finishing processes.
Course Content In the content of this course, general definition, application fields and history of nonwovens, web formation methods such as dry, wet and polymer laid, characterization and testing of nonwoven surfaces, tufting production, primary and secondary backings with the formation of woven and nonwovens, coating methods will be given
