Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To learn the fundementals of engineering materials.
Course Content Iron-Carbide diagrams, effects of alloying elements on the properties of steel, heat treatments of steels, steel classification, steel standards and symbols, classification of the cast irons, non ferrous metals and alloys, plastics, corrosion, composites, non-destructive tests.
