Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To provide a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of solar energy. To learn about practical applications of solar energy. To learn about how solar energy systems work and how to design such systems.
Course Content Introduction to solar energy. Solar radiation. Methods of solar collection. Components of solar systems. Solar heating systems. Liquid-based solar heating systems for buildings. Solar distillation of seawater.
