Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	This course intends to introduce to the process of integrating engineering proposals with economic analysis in order to select among several alternative projects; to understand and evaluate the models and methods used in decision making in the area of engineering economics.
Course Content	Analysis of engineering decisions; principles and methodology of comparing decision alternatives

Learning Outcomes

Adequate knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences and engineering of individual branches; Ability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge in relevant fields in modeling and solving engineering problems.
Ability to identify, define, formulate and solve complex engineering problems; Ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
The ability to design a complex system, process, device or product to meet specific requirements, under realistic constraints and conditions; Ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose
Ability to select and use modern techniques and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in engineering practices; Ability to use information technologies effectively.
Ability to design, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results for the study of complex engineering problems or discipline-specific research issues.
Ability to work effectively in intradisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams; individual work ability.
Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; The ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology and constantly renew oneself.
Acting in accordance with ethical principles, awareness of professional and ethical responsibility; Information about standards used in engineering applications
Designs a complex system, process, device or product to meet specific requirements under realistic restrictions and conditions; implements the modern design methods.
Information about the effects of engineering practices on health, environment and security at universal and social dimensions and the problems of the age reflected in the field of engineering; Awareness of the legal consequences of engineering solutions
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written Turkish; knowledge of at least one foreign language; Ability to write effective reports and understand written reports, prepare design and production reports, make effective presentations, give and receive clear and understandable instructions.
The ability to rally an organization around a vision and apply entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
Ability to use appropriate analytical, experimental and computational methods to ensure system integration; Ability to design, develop and improve these integrated systems that include people, materials, information, equipment and energy
Ability to follow innovations and scientific publications in the field of Industrial Engineering; Ability to develop new and creative solutions to meet customer needs and demands and capture market opportunities, taking into account Occupational Safety and worker health issues.
