Purpose and Content

The aim of the course 1) Introduce modeling & optimization as a powerful analytic technique, 2) To expose students to linear programming models and the basic concepts used in the computer base program algorithm, 3) Develop transportation and integer programming model formulation of real-life situations, 4) Network modeling as a powerful optimization tool, 5) Use of optimization software and interpretation of results.
