About Us

İstanbul Aydın University Personnel Department is responsible for manpower planning and the creation of personnel policies regarding our university's academic staff, as well as conducting appointment, personal rights, and retirement procedures in accordance with the legislation. All personnel processes for academic and part-time teaching staff are carried out within the framework of relevant laws, statutes, regulations, and directives.

Our Department also handles the preparation, submission, and follow-up of University Senate and Administrative Board decisions, carries out the correspondence of the Directorate of Editorial Affairs by proxy, and undertakes the roles of coordinator and rapporteur in the preparation of Self-Evaluation Reports regarding the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) audit processes. All activities are carried out under the General Secretariat with a sense of institutional responsibility.

Our Duties and Responsibilities
  1. The primary matters falling within the scope of the Personnel Department's duties are stated below:
  2. To fulfill the duties specified in Article 29 of the Decree-Law No. 124 on the Administrative Organization of Higher Education Supreme Bodies and Higher Education Institutions, in compliance with the legislation, completely, and on time,
  3. To plan, execute, and supervise procedures related to the appointment, personal rights, retirement, and financial rights of the university's academic staff,
  4. To monitor and record academic staff movements,
  5. To follow legislative changes related to the field of duty, inform the Secretary General, and provide necessary explanations,
  6. To carry out work related to personnel agendas for the University Senate and Administrative Board,
  7. To receive, prepare, and sign documents, minutes, and forms,
  8. To ensure the management and administration of the personnel working within the Personnel Department and to approve annual leave plans,
  9. To carry out promotion, title change, and appointment procedures,
  10. To ensure compliance with established standards and prevent practices contrary to legislation,
  11. To inform senior management when necessary during the execution of duties,
  12. To perform other duties assigned by the Rector and the Secretary General.
