Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The students are expected to learn the basic subjects and thinking methods of sociology, basic sociological conceptions, the relationship between sociology and other social sciences. Additionally, one of the purposes of this course is to make the students be able to develop a sociological thinking perspective and gain the theoretical foundation to make connections between sociological theories and different scientific conceptions.
Course Content In this course, students will study the basic subjects sociology includes as a scientific discipline, the historical evolution and the restrictions of sociological thinking. The reasons of the emergence of different conceptions, the basic sociological conceptions and theoretical processes, the evolution of sociology as a scientific discipline are the main subjects that will be discussed during this course.
