OpticianIstanbul Aydın University Opticians Program is in close relations with non-governmental organizations and sector representatives operating in the optics sector. Since the academic staff of the program also works in the education and training boards of sectoral non-governmental organizations, our students graduate in a highly adapted manner to the academic and sectoral field. At the same time, world-class laboratory facilities play a major role in helping students gain professional skills. The aim of the Opticianry Program is to bring in our country qualified health technicians, graduated from Vocational School, who supply the optical devices designed for the correction of visual impairments and who have been trained at a level to enable them to be applied to the patient.
Important Information
Ø Education, practice and internships of students at workplaces will be carried out within the framework of the principles and procedures determined by the Higher Education Council.
Ø The students who graduate from the optician program have an "Associate degree in Opticians" diploma and the students who will graduate receive the title of "Optician" (Health Technician).
Ø When the student graduates, the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period are specified in the diploma appendix.
Ø When the student leaves before completing the program, a document showing the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period is given.
Ø Professional qualifications gained in the program are used in career development in business life, certificate programs and transition to all other programs when requested.
Ø This program accepts students with TYT score type.
Ø The program has an evening education.
Career Opportunities
Students graduating from this program can work as a responsible manager in their own optical stores with the title of Optician, carry out industrial activities in the sector, and work in businesses that manufacture and sell eyeglasses. Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their undergraduate education in the field of Physics with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
