Semih Can Arslan

My name is Semih Can Arslan. I was a second-year student in the primary and emergency departments of our school between 2017 and 2019.
In 2018, I took advantage of our school's resources and began studying the anesthesiology department as a double major.
During these periods, I received high-quality training from our school's esteemed professors, receiving both theoretical and practical training. I had the opportunity to represent our school in both national and international competitions, and we achieved success in various stages. During my studies, as a graduate of a health vocational high school, I worked at an ambulance company. After graduating from university, I prepared for the 2020 KPSS exam. Always remembering my dream job, which I would love to pursue, I worked tirelessly, never losing hope or motivation, and was assigned to a public hospital in Istanbul. I have been working there since February 2022.
I would like to thank my family for their guidance, help and unwavering support during this period, and my teachers at Istanbul Aydın University, Ms. Mukaddes Avşar Saral, Ms. Gül Çelik Öztorun, Ms. Fatih Selim Elma and Ms. Serap Avcı.

Throughout my education, I received a quality education, both theoretical and practical, from our esteemed professors. The knowledge and experience I gained during this period contributed significantly to my professional development.

After graduation, I had the opportunity to continue my education at Istanbul Aydın University through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and was accepted into the Nursing Department. This further strengthened my trust in and commitment to our university.

I would like to thank my family for their support throughout this process and my esteemed professors: Gül Çelik Öztorun, Şeyma Karabulut Alçudibi, Göksu Afacan Öztürk, and Osman Kocaman. I have always been proud to be a part of this institution.

My education, which I spent between 2022 and 2024 as a first-year student and department representative in the First and Emergency Aid Program at Istanbul Aydın University's School of Health Services, was a turning point in my professional and personal development.

In addition to the theoretical knowledge and practical skills I acquired during this period, I also internalized values such as a sense of responsibility, teamwork, conscientiousness, and respect for human life. The comprehensive theoretical education, practice-oriented course content, and advanced laboratory infrastructure offered by our university played a significant role in my entry into the profession as a strong, field-ready healthcare professional.

Today, I serve as a medic (paramedic) on an international ship and continue to share my knowledge and experience as a first aid instructor. The qualified education I received at Istanbul Aydın University and the vision I gained during my representative role shape my professional stance and mission in education today. I have always been, and will continue to be, honored to be a graduate of this university.

On this occasion, I would like to express my special gratitude to my esteemed academic professors who guided me with their knowledge and experience throughout my education. I am grateful to my professors, Gül Çelik Öztorun, Şeyma Karabulut Aluçdibi, Osman Kocaman, and Göksu Afacan Öztürk, for their guidance and sincere support, which has contributed not only to my academic development but also to my professional standing.
