Our technical visit to Hezarfen Airport, organized on behalf of our department by Meryem Tanrıkulu, the Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program Coordination Team, was organized and thanks to the contributions of our Coordination Director, Sude Nur Metin, and her Assistant, Yusuf Çatak. 🛩️
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed instructor, Dr. Gülcan Güzel, for her unwavering support throughout the planning and implementation of this meaningful event, as well as to Ali Bey and Mehmet Bey from Hezarfen Airport for hosting us and contributing. The Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program participated in the Sustainability Project
The Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program participated in the "Sustainability Project" jointly organized by Singapore Airlines and İGA. Students were trained in a waste management workshop to foster a culture of environmental sustainability within the aviation industry. This provided them with an awareness of artistic and other sustainability initiatives.
The Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) program participated in the "Everything About Aviation" event organized by the Aviation Club. The event, moderated by İsmail Siyahtaş, a 2022 Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) graduate, was attended by Turkish Airlines Captain Akın Hoş, TGS Flight Operations Specialist Mehmet Emin Akar, and Turkish Airlines Flight Planning Specialist Elif Değirmenci. Information was provided on airline criteria for these professions, the advantages and disadvantages of the profession, as well as detailed information on emergency situations and suggested solutions. At the end of the event, Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program Head and Aviation Club Advisor Instructor Gülcan Güzel handed over plaques to Elif Değirmenci Hanım, Aviation Club President and Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) student Sıla Çiçek ÖZTÜRK to Mehmet Emin Akar, and Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) student and Aviation Club Management Treasurer/Public Relations Officer Esma AYDIN/Yaren Saliha TÜRKAN to Captain Akın Hoş.
Air Traffic Controllers Gökay Güven, Cansu Turan, and Güney Demiröz participated in the event, moderated by Gülay Tangün, ATO Training Manager and retired Air Traffic Controller in our school's Pilotage Department. The event addressed the criteria required to become an air traffic controller, employment opportunities, and the future importance of the profession. At the end of the event, the speakers were presented with plaques.

The IFTE International Education Fair will be held at the Atatürk Airport International Terminal from June 2, 2023, to June 4, 2023, and Istanbul Aydın University will be participating. As a student in the Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) program, you can visit the fair between these dates.
In the CAREER AT THY event, in addition to explaining the process of THY from past to present, the plans for the next 10 years, the positions at THY, the internship opportunities offered by THY to students and the opportunities offered by THY to its employees were discussed.
As part of the 15th Career Fair, the Turkish Airlines Human Resources Team will hold a seminar to inform students about THY's open positions and recruitment requirements. The event, titled "Current Topics in Aviation," took place on May 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Orange Hall of Block D, with the participation of Singapore Airlines Turkey and Marketing Services Manager Derya PEKRUH GERÇEKER, Turkish Airlines Flight Planning Specialist Dr. Elif DEĞİRMENCİ, and İsmail SİYAHTAŞ, a 2022 graduate of the Civil Air Transportation Management Turkish Program. Certificates of Participation were given to the students who attended the event.
İGA Human Resources Director Ahmet Hakan ARSLAN attended the event titled "Career in Aviation" in the D Block Orange Hall on May 8, 2023, at 14:00.

Participation in the EURIE event was ensured as the Civil Air Transport Management (Turkish) Program.
We visited our students at YUM and the places where they do their internships with the Career Center Manager Mr. Süleyman Sözer KIRCA.
We consulted with the İGA Human Resources Director and Human Resources Manager about our internship students and internship plans were made for the Spring semester.
As the Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program, we participated in the December 7 World Civil Aviation Day Conference.
Air Traffic Controller Mr. Taner DEVECİ was a guest speaker in the Air Traffic Services course. He shared with the students how to become an air traffic controller, his experiences in the industry, and the advantages and disadvantages of the profession.
An end-of-year evaluation was carried out with the first-year students of the Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program, and the requests and demands of our students regarding the department and the school were taken into consideration.
TGS Training Manager Mr. Caner Odabaş attended our lesson and explained passenger services, her professional experiences, passenger types and the advantages and disadvantages of the profession to our students.
Orientation was held for the first year students of the Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program.
Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program organized an event titled ‘CAREER IN AVIATION “AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER” on Friday, May 13, 2022, between 14:00 and 17:00 in the Orange Hall. Moderated by İsmail SİYAHTAŞ, IAU Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program Student Representative, and with speakers including Turkish Air Traffic Control Center Air Traffic Controllers Mr. Gökay GÜVEN, Mr. Fethi Barış AKSOY, and Istanbul Airport Air Traffic Controller Nilay İNCE ONAT. At the event, our speakers provided information to the students on a wide range of topics, from the job description of an air traffic controller to the advantages and disadvantages of being an air traffic controller, from the qualifications that people who want to become air traffic controllers should have to the requirements for becoming an air traffic controller. Following the event, a raffle was held, and the three winning students were provided with internship opportunities at TGS, and also received a certificate of participation.
Aviation Management Club organized an event titled “CAREER IN AVIATION” on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 13:00 in the Blue Hall, moderated by IAU Career Center Manager Mr. Süleyman Sözer KIRCA, with TGS Human Resources Manager Mr. Emrullah FUÇU and TGS Training Manager Mr. Caner ODABAŞ.
