IAU ADVERTISING Workshop
İAÜ Advertising Workshop was established in 2017 by the Advertising Department of Istanbul Aydın University's Faculty of Communication. Today, it is coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gonca Yıldırım Öge. The purpose of the İAÜ Advertising Workshop is to provide students with the opportunity to combine the theoretical knowledge they learn in courses with practical application and to increase the preference rate of Istanbul Aydın University graduates by the industry. Additionally, it aims to carry out strategic advertising campaigns with faculty members and students and to contribute to strengthening the cooperation between real and legal entities in the advertising sector and the students of the department.
The İAÜ Advertising Workshop consists of three departments: University Internal Event Coordination, University External Event Coordination, and Social Media Coordination. Third-year students lead these departments, and the Workshop Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire workshop. Workshop members take turns working in the workshop office located on the -4th floor of R Block every weekday and actively engage in activities. The work is particularly active on social media, and students regularly publish news, articles, and interviews on the blog https://iaureklam.wordpress.com. In these activities, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students work alternately. They are involved in tasks such as arranging guests, allocating venues, preparing visuals, and promoting events.
Our students are encouraged to participate not only in university events but also in events such as the Marketing Summit, Adhere, and Brand Days organized by different universities and institutions. Some of these events are attended by the department head and other faculty members, while sometimes students participate as a group. Competitions related to advertising and marketing communication are also followed, and students are encouraged to participate in these competitions. During the process, they are mentored by the department head and faculty members.
İAÜ Advertising Workshop is located on the -4th floor of R Block at Istanbul Aydın University's Florya Halit Aydın Campus.
