The person who isolates the cardiopulmonary system using the heart-lung machine and provides perfusion in the operation of the surgeon and anesthesiologist in the operations of the heart and large vessels requiring extracorporeal circulation is called “Perfusion Technician”. While providing extracorporeal circulation, the functions of the cardiopulmonary system must be fully performed and perfusion technicians must perform their duties completely and during this process, they should not damage the cardiopulmonary system, blood, and any organs of the patient. In this sense, the responsibilities of the perfusionist are vital.

Important Information
Education, practice, and internships of students at workplaces will be carried out within the framework of the principles and procedures determined by the Council of Higher Education.
Students who graduate from the audiometry program receive an" Associate degree in Perfusion Techniques" diploma and students who will graduate receive the title of "Perfusion Technician".
When the student graduates, the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period are specified in the appendix of the diploma.
When the student leaves the program without completing the program, a document showing the courses and modules that he/she has gained during the education period is given.
Professional competencies gained in the program are evaluated in career development in business life, in certificate programs, and in transitions to all other programs when requested.
Students are admitted to this program with the YGS-1 score type.
The program has an evening education.
