First and Emergency Aid

Considering the importance of the first five minutes and half an hour in all life-threatening illnesses and accidents, qualified health technicians who can provide basic and advanced life support and recognize emergency situations and apply emergency care are the indispensable elements of the emergency health service.

The aim of the program is to train qualified ambulance and emergency care technicians who have strong sense of responsibility, are cold-blooded, can evaluate the scene correctly, can communicate well with patients and other healthcare professionals, make quick and correct decisions, carefully detect the problem in a very short time, apply the necessary first aid to the patient, after placing it in the ambulance provide the necessary emergency care service, keep a form about the patient's condition, deliver the patient to the health institution,

The First and Emergency Aid program is aimed to train the medical personnel who will provide pre-hospital emergency services professionally and then move the patients and the injured to the necessary centers within the period until the main treatment is done, and provide medical interventions that will save lives and prevent injury.

 

Important informations

Ø Students; Training, practices, and internships at workplaces will be carried out within the framework of the principles and procedures determined by the Council of Higher Education.

Ø Graduates from the First and Emergency Aid Program are awarded with the First and Emergency Aid Associate Degree diploma and the title of "First and Emergency Aid Technician".

Ø When the student graduates, the courses and modules that show the competencies gained during the education period are indicated in the diploma appendix.

Ø When the student leaves before completing the program, a document showing the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period is given.

Ø Professional qualifications gained in the program are used in career development in business life, certificate programs and transition to all other programs when requested.

Ø The program has an evening education.

Ø Students are admitted to this program with TYT score type.

 

Career Opportunities

First and emergency technicians can work in emergency and ambulance, patient transport ambulance, air and sea ambulances, call reception personnel in Command and Control Centers, and all official and private services that provide emergency health services.


Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their undergraduate education in these programs with Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS)
