Dialysis

Today, the number of dialysis units that can meet the needs of kidney patients, and parallel to this, the need for qualified personnel in the sector is increasing day by day. The purpose of this program is to train health technicians who will work in dialysis units in the stages that require dialysis application, to connect the patient to the dialysis machine, to follow-up, to terminate dialysis processes, to maintain the dialysis machine, as well as to inform patients and their relatives about the dialysis application.

In addition to basic medical sciences and professional theoretical courses, students also take clinical practice courses in hemodialysis units. The practical training of the program are given in the practice laboratories and in the centers that FMH (Fresenius Medical Care Turkey) operates throughout the country. In these trainings, students will examine the anatomical localization of organs through models, learn basic emergency and first aid interventions, learn hemodialysis devices with all their monitors, learn to identify problems that may occur during device use and ensure that necessary precautions are taken, learn by seeing water production steps, learn cardiopulmonary animation training. They will learn how to do it practically, they will be trained to recognize the materials needed and use them effectively.

Important Information

Ø Students; Training, practices, and internships at workplaces will be carried out within the framework of the principles and procedures determined by the Council of Higher Education.

Ø Graduates from the Dialysis Program are awarded the Dialysis Associate Degree diploma and the title of "Dialysis Technician".

Ø When the student graduates, the courses and modules that show the competencies gained during the education period are indicated in the diploma appendix.

Ø When the student leaves before completing the program, a document showing the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period is given.

Ø Professional qualifications gained in the program are used in career development in business life, certificate programs and transition to all other programs when requested.

Ø The program has an evening education.

Ø Students are admitted to this program with the TYT score type.

Career Opportunities

Dialysis technicians can work in hospitals and dialysis units affiliated to private/public institutions under the supervision of a specialist doctor. In addition, Fresenius Medical Service inc, a leading company in the sector committed to employing at least 10 (ten) students who successfully completed the program within the year following their graduation. Since dialysis units are being opened more and more and the number of specially trained personnel is insufficient, job opportunities are quite good.

Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their undergraduate education in these programs with Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS)
