Independent Auditor Dr. Suat ÇİÇEK, moderated by our Head of Department Prof. Dr. Gülümser ÜNKAYA, held a webinar titled "Internal Audit Practices in Capital Companies" on 26.02.2024.

The first of the "Accounting Package Programs Trainings" organized by the Department of Accounting and Financial Management was held on February 8, 2024. In the training held with the participation of our faculty members, Uyumsoft Financial Advisor Pro Program was carried out by the expert trainer from the company.

Dr. Tolga Macit GÜSAR, Group Director of TEB Private Banking and Investment Services, held a webinar titled "Current Trends in Domestic Savings Trends" on 31.01.2024, moderated by our Head of Department Prof. Dr. Gülümser ÜNKAYA.

"Meeting with Graduates of the Department of Accounting and Financial Management" was successfully held on 15.01.2024 with the participation of faculty members and graduate students. 

TOLGA MACİT GÜSAR, a student of Istanbul Aydın University Graduate School of Graduate Education Accounting and Auditing PhD Program, who is also the director of TEB Private Banking and Investment Services Group, successfully defended his PhD thesis on "Domestic Saving Trends, Open Architecture and the Effects of Regulations on the Asset Management Sector in Turkey" on 26.12.2023 in front of the jury and was entitled to use the title of 'DOCTOR' with the decision of "Unanimous Vote". We congratulate our student and wish her continued success.

SEMRA ÇAĞLAR, a student of Istanbul Aydın University Graduate School of Graduate Education Accounting and Auditing PhD Program, who is also a Responsible Independent Auditor at Güreli Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik ve Bağımsız Denetim A.Ş., successfully defended her PhD thesis titled "The Effect of the Transition Effect of TFRS 9 Financial Instruments Standard on the Financial Statements of the Enterprises: An Application on Manufacturing Enterprises in BIST" successfully defended her PhD thesis on 26.12.2023 in front of the jury and was awarded the title of "DOCTOR" with the decision of "Unanimous Vote". We congratulate our student and wish her continued success.

Students from the Department of Accounting and Financial Management and Öztiryakiler Madeni Eşya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. trip was organized on 15.12.2023. During the trip; the factory production department was visited and a seminar was given to the students about the cost accounting application. In addition, the students received information about production processes and were given effective information about career planning by the Human Resources Directorate of the company. 

Öztiryakiler Madeni Eşya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. Former General Manager Mr. Ahmet Cihan gave a seminar titled "Career Opportunities: Integration of Cost Accounting System into Companies" with the participation of the students of the department.

Revenue Specialist H. Berrin KÖKÇÜ SARGIN attended the "Career Development: Tax Specialist and Tax Inspector Profession Introduction" with the participation of the students of the department.

RA. Beyza BOZKIR attended the "Advanced Technologies and Accounting Applications Workshop" organized by MÖDAV on 08.12.2023.

Retired Customs Inspector Dr. Zeki TÜYEN held a seminar titled "Career Initiative-Customs Brokerage Profession" on 01.12.2023 with the participation of department students.

RA. Dr. Ruhan AYDIN participated in the VIth International Congress of Critical Discussions in Social Sciences held at Izmir Democracy University between 4-5 November 2023 with a paper presentation.

Ass.Prof.Dr. Doğuş EKTİK participated in the VIth International Congress of Critical Discussions in Social Sciences held at Izmir Democracy University between 4-5 November 2023 with a paper presentation.

Dr. Atilla BÜYÜKÇOBAN (CPA, Independent Auditor) gave a seminar on "Declaration Arrangement (Withholding Tax)" to the students of the department on 17.11.2023.

Tübitak Student Projects, which were carried out with the participation of 20 students of the Department of Accounting and Financial Management, are projects created on different topics, with 10 students as project managers and 10 students as project participants. The applications for the projects were completed in the Tübitak system on 11.11.2023. While the project manager of 5 of the 10 projects whose applications were completed was Prof. Dr. Gülümser ÜNKAYA, the project manager of the other 5 projects was RA. Beyza BOZKIR.
