Students stated that they use Facebook platform mostly for educational purposes, while having 1-3 hours for one day on social media. It was determined that students' grade point averages were both low (1.00-1.99) and medium (2.5-2.99). However, the students who believe in the fact that the use of social network in their education increases the efficiency of their lessons are those who study at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Moreover, students of the Faculty of Law, Engineering and Dentistry stated that social networking is important in their professional life and that the use of social media will give them privileges in the future. The students stated that spending 1-3 hours a day in social media increases the efficiency of their lessons, they get better grades and they are privileged.

Pay attention to the use of social media for 5 hours or more!

Students who spend 5 hours or more in social media in a day stated that the use of social network in education does not increase the efficiency of their lessons and that the use of lecture notes and books is more useful than social media in the preparation of lessons. Students studying at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences use social media longer than students in other faculties to be able to communicate with social media groups. At the same time, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Dentistry stated that they love social media, care about being aware of current events, and their first job is to use social media when they wake up every morning. In particular, 4th grade students spend a lot of time on social media and prefer to be on social media even when someone is around. Students also use social media a lot to take part in humanitarian social projects. The same students stated that when they spend 1-3 hours on social media in one day, they stay longer on social media to be able to communicate with social media groups, so they feel comfortable and feel free. However, the students in question stated that when they spend 5 hours or more on social media in one day, they have disrupted their jobs and realized that their productivity decreased due to social media. These students who use social media at the level of addiction have both low (1.00-1.99) and medium (2.5-2.99) GPA. These students use social media longer to keep in touch with social media groups. They also use social media a lot to see / share some special announcements. Students with both medium (2.00-2.49) and high (3.00 and above) GPA stated that their efficiency decreased due to social media, therefore they do not use social media unless necessary.
