<p>​</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Students who want to apply for academic amnesty pursuant to the provisional Article 78 added by Law No. 7143 to the Higher Education Law No. 2547, which entered into force after its publication in the Official Gazette No. 30425 on 18.05.2018, are required to submit the following documents to Istanbul Aydın University Student Registrar&#39;s Office. The deadline for application is September 18, 2018 (COB).</p><p style="text-align: justify;">NOTE: Graduate students are to apply to the relevant institute.</p><p><strong>Required documents to be submitted by students who have withdrawn from the university, have been academically dismissed or not been enrolled in a programme though they were placed in our university by OSYM</strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>- <a href="/haberler/Documents/AMNESTY%20APPLICATION%20FORM.doc" target="_blank"><img class="ms-asset-icon ms-rtePosition-4" src="/_layouts/15/images/icdoc.png" alt=""/><strong>Application form</strong></a></p><p>- Copy of the birth certificate</p><p>- Criminal record (obtainable via &quot;e-devlet&quot;)</p><p>- For male students, document indicating military service status</p><p>- 2 passport photos taken in the past six months</p><p>- For associate&#39;s/bachelor&#39;s degree students, high school diploma</p><p>- For those placed in a programme with DGS (external transfer exam), associate&#39;s degree diploma</p><p>- For those not enrolled in a programme though they were placed in our university, copy of OSYM exam result</p><p>- For graduate students, bachelor&#39;s degree or postgraduate diploma</p><p><strong>The relevant article:</strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;PROVISIONAL ARTICLE 78 – In accordance with the principles mentioned in the Article 44 of this Law, students who have been academically dismissed for any reason or not been enrolled in a programme despite being eligible may start their studies in the academic year 2018-2019 on the condition that they apply to the relevant higher education institution within four months as of the effective date of this article. The amnesty in question shall also be granted to those who have voluntarily withdrawn from the university by the effective date of this article, regardless of whether they were previously enrolled in orientation, associate&#39;s degree, undergraduate completion, bachelor&#39;s degree, graduate degree or preparatory programmes. The amnesty shall extend neither to students found guilty of terrorist acts nor to the ones academically dismissed due to their membership of, adhesion to or affiliation or connection with terrorist organisations or structures, entities or groups which are established by the National Security Council as engaging in activities against the national security of the State.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">For students who are required to join the army during the application period, the military service shall be deemed deferred. Those serving in the army on the effective date of this article shall be entitled to the rights stated in the article on the condition that they apply to the relevant higher education institution within two months following their discharge.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">If students benefiting from the provisions of this article are enrolled in the higher education institution they previously severed connection with and if they prove with documentation that they work or live in a different province, they may apply for the lateral transfer to equivalent degree programmes in that province within the limits of rules and principles specified by the senates, and the requirement for such an application is that the score received in the year the candidate was placed in a degree programme should be equal to or higher than the base score designated for the department they seek to transfer and that the university senate in the province in question should approve the transfer.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Those who have benefited from this article and gained student status in a higher education institution may be transferred internally to equal associate&#39;s or bachelor&#39;s degree or open education programmes in Anadolu University, Atatürk University or Istanbul University.
