Prof. Aydın</strong> said "Hookah cafes closed due to Covid-19 measures offer us an opportunity to get rid of hookahs. First of all, hookah smoke comes to the smoker through the liquid in the vial and the particles in the smoke get wet and stick to the mouth and throat. This causes many diseases, especially throat cancer. Most importantly, hookah is used in places called 'Hookah Café' and it is used by tens of people every day. The tube of the hookah is germ-infested. It increases the risk by 100 percent for all kinds of infectious diseases, especially Covid-19. Moreover, the mouthpiece apparatus, which is attached to the tube and called the sipsi, cannot prevent this infection risk.
