<p style="text-align: center;">​<strong>A Special Message From President of Istanbul Aydın University Regarding COVID-19</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong></strong><strong style="text-align: justify;">Dear IAU Students, Parents and Alumni,</strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I hope you are healthy and safe at this extraordinary time of COVID 19 pandemic, which has become a global crisis and a great challenge for all of us. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">During this time, I would like to reach out to all of you and ensure you that our students and campus are in safe hands. To our knowledge, we have not had any news, confirmed positive tests for COVID-19 in any of our student, faculty and administrative staff, which is a sign of relief and result of&#160; the immediate actions taken by our University towards the pandemic.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">As IAU, we have taken precautionary measures to make sure that IAU students are well- informed and well-equipped. IAU staff has shifted mostly to home office and rotational work model, still working in full capacity to ensure that we are in constant contact with our students. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">All the international events and campus activities have been cancelled and the library was closed for health precautions. Each part of the campus is now being disinfected periodically. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">We have now transitioned to online education so there will be no gap in education and all the students are able to follow their classes online. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">WhatsApp groups have been created among our international students each with a country representative to assist our students for emergency questions. Our staff at the International Office is in contact with each and every student on regular basis to make sure they have no trouble following online courses and have assistance, if needed. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Immediate response email <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> is now in effect for our students and their parents to provide support and assistance to our students and parents. Please do not hesitate to contact us!</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Regarding COVID-19, there are some important measures and restrictions all over Turkey such as: shopping malls, theaters, entertaining places, cafés &amp; restaurants (except for take-out and delivery) are closed. It is forbidden to leave home for senior citizens (above age 65) by the government. In the supermarkets and in the public transportation there are restrictions for the number people to service. Banks are working at reduced hours and most of the air and train travels are cancelled or restricted for the time being.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Please be confident that your children are in safe hands and do not worry because as IAU, we are always here for them and we are confident to overcome this pandemic all together. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">AS IAU family, we are known to have big dreams, great accomplishments and endless strength.
