In 2020, we carried out an important work on the protection of cultural assets in our country against disasters with the Project for Reducing the Risks of Disaster in Museums, which we realized with the cooperation of the Friends of Cultural Heritage (KUMİD) and Batman University, with the financing of the European Union Civil Society Development Center. We held the "International Virtual Conference on Museums" on July 31, 2021 with the theme of "Disaster Resilient Museums" in order to share the experiences we have gained within the scope of this project with those who are interested in the subject in the international arena. Participants from 10 different countries participated in the conference, which was held in cooperation with AFAM, KUMID, Batman University, Ankara Hacıbayram Veli University, ICOMOS-ICORP Turkey, ICCROM, ICOM Pakistan National Committee, ICOM Nepal National Committee. The online conference, attended by experts and interested parties from countries such as Zambia, Pakistan, France, India, Afghanistan, Nepal, Georgia, Mongolia, and Malaysia, was also broadcast on youtube via the link below.
