On October 23, 2011 at 13:41, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 Mw occurred according to Kandilli Observatory data. The earthquake, which was felt in the surrounding provinces and whose intensity was determined as IX, lasted for 25 seconds and caused 601 people to die and 4.152 people to be injured.  In the past 9 years, we, as AFAM, held a webinar for the post-earthquake studies and the evaluation of these studies in Van. This webinar, which was held on June 7, 2020 under the title of Van Online Conference after the 2011 Earthquake, was hosted by Architect Enes Yıldız and AFAM Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Fatih Altan participated as a speaker.
