Management Information Systems

The main purpose of our department

The main purpose of our department is to train students who have management skills in producing, sharing and storing information that will improve information systems in businesses, preparing information systems that will cover all functions of the business, and managing these systems, who can adapt to today's information technologies and can adapt to new technologies, and to bring our graduates to the sector.

What is Management Information Systems?

Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary branch of science that is formed by the interaction and integration of computer science and business management basic fields. The manager who will process and use the information is expected to know the issues related to its use in computers and Management Information Systems. At the same time, companies in the sector need to produce automation solutions in order to compete better. When these elements are combined, there is a constant exchange and interaction between humans and computers, so the need for businesses to meet the needs arising from the combination of these elements arises. Our Management Information Systems training has the qualifications to meet these requirements.

Why Management Information Systems?

As the service and IT sectors are developing at a rapid pace, there has been an increasing demand for people who have studied Management Information Systems in recent years. In Turkey, the number of people with this feature is quite low. For this reason, it is observed that our graduates have many job opportunities and their income is higher than the average income of university graduates. Our graduates receive training that will have management skills, and they also learn the requirements, functioning and applications of the IT sector. Thus, businesses will be able to find job opportunities in the titles of senior managers and informatics by using their knowledge in more than one field and sector in an integrated manner, both in the management sector and the IT sector.
