Mission: Following the current developments in technology and transforming information into product by conforming with internal sector dynamics with a global sense and innovative logic are the main missions of Fashion and Design Department. We aim to educate competent designers who create designs equipped with applied education and able to add technical, aesthetic and artistic values to their products for textile sector that is one of the leader sectors of Turkey. Our students learn how to specialize and get results in creative processes by producing texture, pattern, color and mold designs that can be successful in all kinds of textured textile products, especially in functional clothing as fashion design and home textile as environmental arrangement, by using technical equipment within international quality training workshops of our university. Students gain experience in European countries where they are sent by ERASMUS program and also produce projects in the same classes with the participation of foreign students who come to our country by the same program. The students of our department receive education not only to produce current designs but also to produce the future's designs and they are able to design in different fields such as cinema movies, TV series, etc. (period costumes, historical and ethnical costumes). Our students are educated to be able to lead their future companies with technical knowledge and infrastructure experience required for the personnel of the enterprise in order to ensure that their designs are produced within the sector. Thus, the graduates of Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Fashion and Design are sent off to their futures after receiving education on research, design, enforcement and on-site application (internship).

Career Opportunities: Our successful graduates can work at national and international institutions within textile and outfit sectors; work at brand companies as designers; set up their own fashion design workshops and be company owners; participate in journals and media institutions within fashion sector as consultants; take charge in sub-sectors by designing historical, ethnical and cultural outfits in accordance with the custom traditions in cinema, theater and TV sectors when needed.
