Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of the course is to create illustrative designs based on animated films and game concepts within the concept of cartoon concepts and rules.
Course Content The aim of the course is to provide students with the equipment to produce illustration works by doing research within the specified concept / concepts.

Weekly Course Subjects

1General information about advertisement illustration and lesson process. Discussion about project issues.
2Design principles and illustration in Composition. Determining the project topics for animation films and explaining the principles of designing.
3The use of materials in scientific, technical and advertising illustrations and the application of a sample design within the framework of the problem determined for animated films.
4Continuing designs within the framework of selected subjects.
5Continuing illustration studies by finding visual materials suitable for service promotion for animation films. Also, explaining the technical design principles.
6Continuing the designs in line with technical criticism.
7Alternative studies should be done with a wide variety of materials and techniques to enrich the illustration. It should be ensured that the studies of the students are unique by giving them the opportunity to develop their own methods.
8Completing the developed illustration works with final checks and criticisms before the midterm exam submission.
9Midterm Exam
10Starting a new project by choosing a topic from games and animated films. Transferring the rules to be considered in the project. Sample design in Adobe Photoshop.
11Continuing design projects with animation in Adobe Photoshop.
12Completing the Adobe Photoshop project. Transition to a new project in Adobe Illustrator and designing and explaining a sample application.
13Continuation of the designs in Adobe Illustrator according to the animation film or the game to be selected.
14To be submitted in the final exam, the finalized designs are arranged in the Adobe illustrator program with their texts, and submitted in poster format with the project after the first midterm exam completed in the Adobe Photoshop program.
