Restorative Dental Treatment

The purpose of the revision made for an aesthetic smile is developing a concordant and consistent chewing system including teeth, gingiva, lips, muscle, skeletal structure and joints. Briefly, smile design is forming an ideal smile by applying medicine and art together. Smile design is planned by combining some individual aesthetic expectations with health and naturalness.  The relationship between teeth, the soft tissue surrounding the teeth and the facial characteristics of the patient creates a dynamic and 3D picture. A natural and completely pleasant appearance may or may not be formed depending on the shape, size and arrangement that are compatible with the facial contours of the individual as a result of the works of the dentist and technician.

The color of teeth is very important for the individual in providing dental aesthetics. In some cases, professional cleaning procedures such as scaling and polishing to remove stains and tartar are inadequate to form an ideal tooth color. In this case, correct bleaching can create the desired tooth color. According to researches, bleaching of teeth is very effective and safe if it is performed under the supervision of a dentist. Teeth and gingiva do not get harmed at all.

In addition, the aesthetic condition associated with the health of gingiva and appearance is a must for an effective smile design. Inflammatory and irregular gingival line destroys a pleasant smile. Papillary atrophy and asymmetric gingival borders are some of the conditions that destroys the general aesthetic picture.

The purpose of smile design is to provide an aesthetic appearance with minimum preparation in tooth by using a way as conservative as possible in contrary to the past. The smile we created must be aesthetically appealing and functionally ideal. Our duty as dentists is to form aesthetically the best appearance in our patients by observantly diagnosing, analyzing and treating.
