<p></p><div rtenodeid="3"><strong>Istanbul Special Education Days were held in cooperation with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, Küçükçekmece Guidance and Research Center, and IAU. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Fazlıoğlu, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diken, Prof. Dr. Binyamin Birkan, and Dr. Bülent Madi were the speakers at the event which is focused on preparing children with autism for general education classes, supporting the sensorial development of children who need special needs, reorganization of the brain in special education, qualified interaction and eligible development with children who have developmental inability. </strong></div><div><br/></div><div>The symposium named  "Istanbul Special Education Days" was hosted by our university. The symposium which first included opening and protocol speeches consisted of presentations by Prof. Dr. Binyamin Birkan, Prof. Dr. Yeşim Fazlıoğlu, Dr. Bülent Madi, and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diken. </div><div>In the scope of the opening and protocol speeches, the manager of the Küçükçekmece Guidance and Research Center Tuncay Sabak mentioned his words, "It is an honor for me to accommodate doyennes and doyens of my field. I am positive that you will enjoy the program, welcome." Departmental Manager of Küçükçekmece District Directorate of National Education Dr. Gülseren Hızarcıoğlu mentioned her words, "As Küçükçekmece District, we are proud to be here. Thank you for all of your participation." Assistant Manager of Istanbul Province Directorate of National Education Gülşen Özer mentioned her words, "We are here with a subject that our Province Directorate cared about. Personally, I accept myself as a special education person. I believe that one who enters this subject will always stay in this field. These works in the field of special education are important for us." Then, the Vice Rector of IAU Reşat Başar, who made the protocol speech, mentioned "We are working for making our university more suitable for students with disabilities. We especially thank our participating professors." After this speech, Assistant Manager of Istanbul Province Directorate of National Education Gülşen Özer presented a work made by a child with special education. The Vice Rector of IAU Reşat Başar expressed his gratitude.</div><div><br/></div><div>In the first session of the symposium "Istanbul Special Education Days", students from Atakent Special Education Practice School took place on the stage with their show. In the first session of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Binyamin Birkan and Prof. Dr. Yeşim Fazlıoğlu presented their presentations.  Prof. Dr. Binyamin Birkan gave a speech under the title of "Preparing Children with Autism for General Education Classes; Reducing the Need for Special Education through Support Education Services" and Prof. Dr. Yeşim Fazlıoğlu gave a speech under the title of "Supporting the Sensorial Development of Children with Special Needs".</div><div><br/></div><div>In the second session of the symposium, at first, students from Küçükçekmece Special Education Practice School took their place on the stage with their show. Then, Dr. Bülent Madi and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diken presented their presentations. In the scope of this, Dr. Bülent Madi gave his speech under the title of "Brain Reorganization in Special Education" and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diken gave a presentation under the title of "Children with Developmental Inability and their Parents; Qualified Interaction and Qualified Development." After the presentations of the speakers, Küçükçekmece District Directorate of National Education Murat Gözüdok gave the closing speech. Then, the program ended with the presentation of plaques.<br/></div><p><br/></p><p>
