As Istanbul Aydın University Disaster Training Application and Research Center, we have developed a training program for individuals with chronic illness and/or hearing, mental, physical and visual impairments, who are among the more vulnerable groups in disasters. In the training program, the steps to be taken by individuals with chronic illnesses or various degrees of disability and their families before, during and after the disaster, and how the damages of a possible disaster can be prevented by the family members are explained step by step. With this program we prepared, we provided disaster preparedness training for our disabled students and their families who continue their education at our University.
