Purpose and Content

The aim of the course In the course; The five components in the formation of the large data platform; theoretical information such as variety, velocity, data volume, verification and value i.e. definition of 5v in general, Internet, Information Technology will be transferred to the students. Media and New Media topics will be evaluated in a comprehensive way and research based learning will be done.
Course Content To explain how the elements of information society in all areas of our life are blended with innovations brought by technology; the main aim of the course is to convey all the processes related to obtaining, changing, transforming and conveying information to others as it is today the symbol of prosperity.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Examination of developments and transformations in information and communication technologies.
2Investigation of the transfer of information through the concept of "data".
3Definition of "Big Data" concept through current examples.
4Explanation of the strategic importance of "Big Data".
5Information on how institutions and people evaluate information under the heading "Great Data in the World".
6Explanation on how to use Big Data in Turkey and for what purposes it is used.
7Midterm
8Explanation of the concept of "Semantic" required for good analysis of Large Data.
9Explanation of the data conversion process and technology (Data-mining).
10Definition of "Data Mining" concept and evaluation through present examples.
11Information on "data mining" in the world and in Turkey
12"Data Visualization" is discussed in terms of examples to discuss what benefits are available for corporations.
