Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees (CPSR)

Istanbul Aydın University implements Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees, to provide Syrian youth in Turkey with job-focused specialized modules in marketing, financial management and computer programming.

As part of the Grant scheme of the HOPES project funded by the European Union and implemented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) together with the British Council, Campus France and Nuffic, the Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees offers training modules designed in line with the market needs as well as concrete learning outcomes. The project includes 3 different certificate programs that are implemented in parallel from January to April 2018: Marketing Certificate Program, Computer Science Certificate Program and Financial Management Certificate Program. Each program includes training modules in English, study workshops, and job-focused trainings.

The certificate program will allow Syrian students to gain soft-skills geared towards employment opportunities and to actively engage in a campus environment that will support their integration to the host community and academic integration, if they decide to continue their higher education in Turkey.

At the end of the program, the certified students will attend a career day event where they will have the opportunity to meet the representatives of business organizations in Turkey and human resources professionals of Turkish companies.
