Details of Units of Competency

A1 Unit: Test exam is applied for measurement and evaluation. Question types of multiple choice, multiple answer and true/false can be used in the exam. The exam can be done written or computerized with the CBT / IBT system. If IBT system is used, questions such as true-false list, matching and sorting can also be used.

In the exam, the participant must be asked 20 questions with equal points, and the participant must correctly answers 70% of them.

It should be predicted as 1.5 minutes per question.

Practice Exam

Practice Exam is held according to the below terms.

There is no practice exam in for the evaluation of A1 Unit Competency.
There is no practice exam in for the evaluation of A2 Unit Competency.

A3 Unit Computer Assembly and Initiating the Operating System Installation Practice: The candidate is expected to perform the installation of the internal and external components specified in a desktop, server or partially assembled computer system so as to display image on the system, test the components by powering the system and start the operating system installation process. The candidate prefers one of the available operating system alternatives. The practice time is determined by the complexity of the selected components. The performance of the candidate is graded according to the Practice Exam Control Form. In order to be successful,the candidate must show sufficient performance from all sections in the Practice Exam Control Form.

4/B2 Unit - P1 - Computer Hardware Changing Practice: The candidate is expected to perform the replacement of designated internal components in a desktop, server or partially assembled computer system. The practice time is determined by the complexity of the selected components. The performance of the candidate is graded according to the Practice Exam Control Form. In order  to be successful, the candidate must show sufficient performance from all sections in the Practice Exam Control Form.

4/B2 Unit - P2 - Computer Troubleshooting Practice: The candidate is expected to carry out the controls for troubleshooting in a desktop, server or partially assembled computer system. The practice time is determined by the complexity of the selected components. The performance of the candidate is graded according to the Practice Exam Control Form. In order to be successful, the candidate must show sufficient performance from all the sections in the Practice Exam Control Form.

5/B2 Unit - P1 - Defective Component Detection Practice in Open Frame Assembly: The candidate is expected to perform tests and controls in an open frame assembly to detect the defective components in a desktop, server or partially assembled computer system. The practice time is determined by the complexity of the selected components. It is graded according to the candidate's Practice Exam Control Form. In order to be successful, the candidate must show sufficient performance from all sections in the control form.

5/B2 Unit - P2 - Defective Component Repairing Practice: The candidate is expected to be able to perform electronic repairing techniques for the defective component in a desktop, server or partially assembled computer system. The pratice time is determined by the complexity of the selected components and repair necessities. The performance of the candidate is graded according to the Practice Exam Control Form. In order to be considered successful, the candidate must show sufficient performance from all sections in the Practice Exam Control Form.
