- Biochemistry, which is no different from the chemistry of life; It is a branch of science that studies the structure, functions and interactions of biomolecules. The functioning of metabolism in living things, the control of metabolic pathways, the examination of disorders in metabolism are evaluated within the scope of biochemical research. In addition, clinical biochemistry, which is important for the diagnosis of diseases in medicine, includes the examination of various body materials with various chemical and molecular biological methods.
The Department of Medical Biochemistry plays a very important role in medical education by providing students with a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of biochemistry and molecular biology. Students are trained in laboratory techniques such as protein purification, enzyme assays and chromatography to prepare them for careers in clinical practice or research. Our
department conducts the biochemistry and clinical biochemistry courses in the medical faculty education and training program theoretically and practically.
