Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The purpose of this lecture is to teach the importance of textile chemistry on the final textile product without being harmed during the finishing processes, to realize the necessity of the textile chemistry professionally, to introduce chemical structures of various fiber types, to teach the effects of chemical substances on the various fibers and also to realize the importance of chemical sunstances selection which affects the fiber and as well as product cost.
Course Content Chemical structures of cellulose based fibers, the effect of water, acids, base, salts, oxidizing and reducing agents, organic solvents, light and atmosphere conditions, temperature on the cellulosic fibers, chemical structure of the protein fibers, the effect of water, acids, base, salts, oxidizing and reducing agents, organic solvents, light and atmosphere conditions, temperature on the protein fibers, chemical structure of man made fibers, the effect of water, acids, base, salts, oxidizing and reducing agents, organic solvents, light and atmosphere conditions, temperature on the man made fibers.
