Purpose and Content

The aim of the course to facilitate the study of practical and emerging power electronic converters made feasible by the new generation of power semiconductor devices
Course Content Power electronic systems, overview of power semiconductor switches, computer simulation of power electronic converters, line frequency power electronic rectifiers, line frequency phase controlled rectifiers and inverters, dc-dc switch mode converters, switch mode dc -ac inverters, resonant converters,swithing dc power supplies, power coditioners and uninterruptible power supplies, dc motor drives, ac motor drives , other applications
