Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To explain the protection of drainage basins during the design of hydraulic structures and implementation phases and show the basic methods and solution techniques for the design of hydraulic structures.
Course Content Development of water resources, Turkey's water resources, river morphology, formation and balance of river beds, river regulation, protection and narrowing structures, flood control, flood calculations, flood routing, flood control structures, watershed protection, water intake structures, regulators, sluice capacity, hydraulid and static profile, dams and reservoirs, gravity dams, arch dams, energy dissipators, hydraulic jump pools.
