Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The main objective of the first course in structural analysis is to determine internal forces and their distribution along statically determinate beams and statically determinate trusses.
Course Content General information, structural systems, loads, assumptions and idealizations used in structural statics, force systems, forces, loads, reactions, internal forces, equilibrium equations, calculation of planar structures subject to static loads, statically determinate planar systems, full-bodied systems, indirect systems, calculation of systems subject to live loads, definition of influence, Gerber systems, cables.
