Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To introduce methods used in the design and implementation of highway projects.
Course Content Introduction, definitions of highway components, characteristics of road users and vehicles, vehicle movements, general characteristics of highway traffic, highway capacity, selection of highway geometric standards, location survey, horizontal curves and super-elevation, transition curves, road profile and vertical curves, planning of urban roads, intersections, highways drainage.
