Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To give a knowledge about how to read technical drawing and gain drawing ability by hand and computer
Course Content Geometrical constructions of parts. Orthographic drawing and sketching. Three dimensional drawing. Dimensioning principles. Sectioning and conventions.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Technical drawings materials, formats of standard papers, line types.
2Projection planes and projections, drawing methods in Europe and America (1st and 3rd area use).
3The front, top and left side views, sample drawings.
4Sections.
5Introduction of AutoCAD interface.
6Usage of the toolbar and calling toolbars when necessary, drawing line, drawing in order to absolute coordinates, relative and relative polar coordinates.
7Usage of the Draw toolbar and Status bar and practises. Usage of modify toolbar icons.
8Midterm exam
9Creating layers and making sample drawings.
10Sample drawings.
11Perspective drawings.
12Isometric perspective drawings using AUTOCAD.
13Solid modelling.
