Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To use the all knowledge gained in Food Engineering education on the literature survey and the laboratory works of a selected topic.
Course Content To make an extensive literature and market survey on a topic approved by the department including experimental study in the laboratories, or participating in an already existing project. To prepare a final report at the end of the semester.

Weekly Course Subjects

1General literature review and brain storming in order to choose project topic
2Determination of the project and business statement submission
3Confirmation of project based on business statement
4Related literature review
5Determination of experimental procedures and experimental design based on literature research
6Experimental works
7Evaluations of experimental data
8Project progress report, midterm evaluation
9Determination of risks and possible failures and developing precautions an new design approaches
10Perform simulations, and calculations for problems
11Project refinement based on simulation results
12Required calculations and technical report writing
13Finalize conceptual design of all sub blocks and complete system based on simulations
14Present conceptual design report
