Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	In the course; the history of the Turkish press and the development of the media in the context of Turkish politics will be transferred to the students.
Course Content	Relations between the press and political Powers will be discussed chronologically from the one-party period in Turkey to the formation of the media holdings. This course introduces the development and changes in the media in the light of social and political events in Turkey.

2	Transposition of the essence of writing on the basis of the concept of the media
3	The effects of the paper and the printmaking on the development of the media and the telling of the development of the printing house to the Ottoman Empire
4	Giving information about the first newspapers in Ottoman history together with the printed revolutions
5	Post-1860 journalism, the first legislative acts of the political power against the press
6	An examination of the journalism activities of the New Ottomans abroad before the First Constitutional Monarchy
7	Midterm
8	II. Giving information about press regime and journalism activities during Abdülhamit Period
9	"Jon Turkish Press" as an opposition tool - II. Statement of the constitutional monarchy
10	Giving information about World War I and National Struggle period press
11	Explanation about the development and structure of the press in the Republic of Turkey
12	Examination of media groups, media and media structure in Turkey
