Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	In the course; visualisation techniques that has completely entered to the digital process from the manual and chemical process will be explained.Digital Photography is a type of photography where technology is used to create images of objects.
Course Content	With the development of digital technology it is aimed for students to transfer the photography which can be displayed, printed, processed, portable by using digital technology and computer practically without the need of chemical processing.

Weekly Course Subjects

1	Transition from analog photography to digital photography
2	Basic concepts of digital photography (pixel, resolution, digital sensor, RAW, JPEG, etc.)
3	Examination of digital camera types.
4	Examination of DSLR and HD-DSLR type machines
5	Digital sensor types and photo quality effects (CMOS, CCD etc.)
6	Ancillary equipment used in digital photography. (Storage, transfer, recording, scanning apparatus)
7	Midterm
8	Comparative interpretation of digital bright room concept
9	Introducing digital photo processing programs classified by usage areas (vector based, pixel based, page design purposes).
10	Converting RAW format photos into compressed formats (JPEG, TIF, etc.)
11	Basic Photoshop applications-1 (Toolbox, menu, etc.)
12	Basic Photoshop applications-2 (Layers, channels, masks, etc.)
13	Basic Photoshop applications-3 (Area selection, repair tools etc.)
