Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The main goal of the course is to introduce students to introductory level of theories of international finance flows, determination of interest and exchange rates in interconnected economies, macroeconomic policies available to the government, and the nature of financial crises.
Course Content The course covers the topics on national income accounting, exchange markets and the foreign exchange market, the relationhip, money, interest rate and exchange rates, short run and long run equilibrium in the foreign exchange markets, international monetary systems, financial globalization and optimum currency areas.
