Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This introductory course will help students communicate in a clear, courteous, concise, complete and correct manner on both personal and professional levels. Students will develop competency in oral, written, interpersonal, technological and employment related communication. Listening skills will be incorporated throughout the semester. The main goal is to provide students with a solid communication base that makes it possible for them to communicate effectively.
Course Content How to gain information effectively, how to develop strategies for an easy and effective information gathering. Techniques for improving memory for better studying or test-taking strategies. Providing the appropriate context for improving academic language skills, this course covers the frequently used language structures and functions of professional English used in various fields.
