Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The main objective of this course is to explain - in national and international scale - the process of providing the necessary resources and evaluating in the appropriate investment fields in order to found the business, maintain the current situation of business or realize the new investments. At the same time, various financial analysis techniques are explained in order to evaluate the current situation of the business and make decisions about its future, and it’s aimed to develop students’ ability to interpret the results of analysis.
Course Content	The basic topics of this course are; concepts of finance, financing and financial management; objectives and legal structures of businesses; financial systems, financial markets, financial institutions and financial instruments; financial statements, taxes and amortization; main financial statement analysis methods used in businesses; financial planning; management of assets and liabilities in businesses; derivative products, option contracts and international financial management practices.
