Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This course is designed to help you to understand the importance of financial management in business. To provide better analysis of financial tools real applications such as case studies, mini-cases and problems will be discussed and solved throughout the course.
Course Content Upon completing the program you will be able to: Describe and evaluate features of financial markets; Describe basic types, goals, and implications of business finance; Interpret financial statements and how they influence short-term and long-term decision making, planning and growth; Explain the meaning of time value of money and its application in corporate and banking industries; Estimate cash flows of the projects; Use two modern approaches to model the price of the risk; Find the value of different financial products such as options, bond, stocks etc; Determine optimal capital structure for the business and the impact of financial leverage, bankruptcy, and the role of taxes on optimal capital structure; Calculate the weighted average cost of capital, based on relevant financial statement and market information.
