Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The main goal of development economics is to define the basic properties of developing and transition economies and to analyze the problems faced by such countries. Determinants of more rapid and sustainable growth, elimination of poverty and income inequality issues are discussed. The main goal of growth economics is to define the basic properties of developed economies and to analyze the engines of growth via various economic models.
Course Content	The main subjects discussed in this class are why some countries develop and grow faster than others, what are the main problem faced by developing economies during their development and faced by developed economies during the continuation of their growth and hence what are the appropriate policy recommendations.
