Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Until the republic period of the Turkish legal system by providing information about the legal system and ensure a positive evaluation of the reform law made both.
Course Content Starting date of the first Turkish state in 1926, the civil law of the process until the adoption of the law and legal institutions to examine the development of the main topics of the course. After the pre-Islamic Within this framework period briefly examined Ottoman legal system-Islam Law Customary law ayrımı-, state organization, court organization, the non-Muslims in the Ottoman Empire, criminal law, slavery, trusts, family law, Mecelle and Law-i family Decree, Ottoman land change the system and age of the Ottoman law are dealt with after the Tanzimat.
