Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The objective of this course is to identify the theoretical and practical aspects of national and international regulations of maritime law.
Course Content The course unit covers the historical development of maritime law and ships, which are the basic notions in maritime law. The legal nature and types of ships, limited property rights and ship hypothe are discussed in a detailed way. Besides, shipowner, shipowner liabilities, captain, contract of affreightment and sea accidents are handled.
