Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To show students the basic elements of animation in digital environment. In addition, it is aimed to provide training on character creation and animation, acceleration, stage planning and cartoon production.
Course Content Processing of professionally accepted animation and cartoon production methods throughout the lessons.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Demonstration and presentation of Adobe After Effects Software & it's interface.
2Teaching 2D animation techniques.
3Showing the layer system in the software.
4Showing masking, mode, matte, alpha settings in After Effects.
5Teaching the parent and hierarchy system on After Effects.
6Importing and animating character in Adobe After Effects Software.
7Showing puppet tools on After Effects.
8Giving information on 'Midterm Project'.
9Midterm Exam
10Teaching synopsis, treatment, script in animation.
11Teaching storyboarding and editing principles in animation.
12Teaching video/animation render by adding sound, music and video effects to the animation.
13Giving information on 'Final Project'.
14Final Project
